Full Time Paddocks

Although Freshford does have a limited number of two to three horse private paddocks, most paddocks are shared paddocks, each agisting 3 to 12 horses depending on the size of the paddock.

 

All our paddocks have either a dam or water trough and have tie up posts next to the paddocks for feeding, grooming or tacking up.

 

Our philosophy is that all horses at Freshford should be safe, happy and content. In all cases, whether mixed or segregated, we place the horse in a group that suits the personalities and attitudes best. If a particular horse is aggressive towards others or does not settle in the 'herd', they will be moved and placed in with another 'herd' elsewhere.

 

Although several of our paddocks are situated further away from the main facilities, the paddocks are easily accessible and adjoin the riding trails.
